We are honoured to present the selected papers from the 9th International Conference on the Applications of Science and Mathematics (SCIEMATHIC) 2024, held at The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya, Malaysia, on October 3–4, 2024. We trust that all participants have gained meaningful insights and enriching experiences in the fields of science and mathematics through their engagement in the conference.

The primary aim of this conference is to foster meaningful dialogue and the exchange of knowledge among experts in science, mathematics, and biodiversity, with a focus on advancing a sustainable future. Additionally, the conference seeks to empower scientists and professionals to communicate scientific and mathematical knowledge in ways that promote harmony with nature and encourage a holistic understanding for future generations. It also serves as a platform to highlight and celebrate successful examples of integrating science, mathematics, and biodiversity in support of global sustainability initiatives.

Distinguished keynote speakers, including prominent professors from Malaysia and Indonesia, were invited to share the latest developments and breakthroughs in their respective fields. This conference provides an invaluable opportunity for students and researchers to disseminate their findings and exchange expertise, while also enhancing the university’s visibility and recognition at both national and international levels.

This issue features a curated selection of 12 papers submitted by contributors from academic institutions, research organizations, and industry. All submissions underwent a rigorous peer-review process conducted by the conference committee in collaboration with external reviewers. The selected papers were evaluated based on their academic merit and alignment with the conference themes. The content is organized into six core categories: mathematics and statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering sciences, and artificial intelligence.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all contributing authors for their scholarly work. Our sincere gratitude also goes to the organizing committee, reviewers, keynote speakers, session chairs, and all participants for their steadfast support and contributions to the success of SCIEMATHIC 2024.
